Kolkata, 31 August 2026: The 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Coal India Limited was held through video conferencing. Chairman Shri B. Sairam; Director (Marketing/HR) Shri Mukesh Choudhary; Director (Finance) Shri Mukesh Agrawal; Director (Technical) Shri Achyut Ghatak; Director (Business Development) Shri Asheesh Kumar; and the Independent Directors participated in the meeting. Smt. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, and Shri Ashim Kumar Modi, JS & FA, Ministry of Coal, joined the AGM virtually from New Delhi.
Chairman,Shri B. Sairam addressed the shareholders and highlighted Coal India’s physical and financial performance, key milestones achieved during 2025–26, and the company’s continued contribution to India’s energy security.
The shareholders participated virtually and interacted with the Board during the AGM. Responding to the questions raised, CIL Chairman Shri B. Sairam reaffirmed Coal India’s unwavering commitment to India’s growth story with a clear focus on strengthening production, evacuation capacity, expanding our footprint in renewable energy and coal gasification, and maintaining financial discipline.
