DVC Maithon Demonstrates Commitment to Employee Welfare & Human Sensitivity by Providing One-Time Financial Assistance

Kolkata, 30 August 2026: DVC Maithon hosted a cheque distribution programme providing one-time financial assistance to eligible compassionate beneficiaries. DVC Chairman, Shri Rajesh Pandey, IAS, graced the event as Chief Guest. Prior to the programme, he was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Combined Office Building.

The event commenced with the rendition of Vande Mataram and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Shri Subir Kumar Saha, ED (Civil) & Project Head, welcomed the Chairman with a bouquet and felicitated other senior officers on the dais.

Leadership & Commitment

Chairman Shri Rajesh Pandey, IAS emphasized that DVC’s mission extends beyond power generation to fulfilling social responsibilities for employees’ dependent families. “Human sensitivity, transparency, and employee welfare are integral components of DVC’s work culture,” he stated, calling upon officers to discharge their duties with sincerity, sensitivity, and a spirit of service. Shri Tapas Roy (HR) reinforced this humane approach of extending genuine support beyond administrative formalities.

Driving Regional Progress & Tourism

Chairman Shri Rajesh Pandey, IAS and senior officials held strategic discussions with Jharkhand and West Bengal District Administrations regarding Renewable Energy, BESS Projects, vacant land utilization, and local employment.

Adding to the region’s charm, Chairman Shri Rajesh Pandey, IAS visited the Maithon Hydel Station and officially inaugurated the Yacht Club, to be further developed by the Business Development group. Interacting with the media, he urged them to help disseminate information on DVC’s upcoming projects, emphasizing the importance of public participation and constructive dialogue in the area’s development.
