Jhajjar, 04 June 2026: APCPL hosted the grand inauguration of the “Girl Empowerment Mission 2026” under the theme “बेटियों का उत्थान, देश का अभिमान”. This initiative is part of APCPL’s CSR initiative, reflecting the organization’s commitment to empowering girls and bringing positive change in their lives.
The campaign was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Anil Kumar Jhaadli, Chairman (APCPL) and Director (HR, NTPC), and the Guest of Honour, Smt. Abha Jhaadli, Senior Member (Sanyukta Mahila Samiti). The occasion was also graced by Shri Amod Jindal, Director (APCPL), Shri Divakar Kaushik, RED – NR (NTPC), Smt. Seema Kaushik, Smt. Durga Kasina, Shri Dilip Kaibortta, CEO (APCPL), Smt. Mamta Kaibortta, President (Sakhi Ladies Club), other senior officials, employees, members of Sakhi Ladies Club, village representatives, children, and their parents.
Started in 2019, the Girl Empowerment Campaign is a flagship CSR initiative of APCPL aimed at providing equal opportunities to underprivileged girls from nearby villages. The program is a four-week residential workshop held at Bal Bharati Public School, Jharli, for girls aged 10–12 years studying in local government schools. Participants come from villages including Jharli, Khanpur Khurd, Goria, Mohanbari, Bahu Jholri, Sudhrana, and Lilodh. The campaign focuses on education, yoga, self-defense, arts, music, dance, and skill-building activities to ensure holistic development.
Following the inauguration, dignitaries visited the APCPL hospital to review the HPV vaccination drive being conducted under CSR, which covers the entire Jhajjar district to strengthen girls’ health. Later, they visited the Torrefied Plant Area and Unit-01 Control Room, followed by a station review meeting.
As part of the visit, the dignitaries inaugurated 03 new classrooms built under CSR at the Government Primary School in Khanpur Khurd. The program concluded with a tree plantation drive, reaffirming APCPL’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable growth.
