Kolkata, 14 September 2026: Shri B. Sairam, Chairman, Coal India Limited, chaired a review meeting with senior officials of Eastern Coalfields Limited and Rajmahal Area during his visit to Rajmahal Area on 13 September 2026.
The meeting was attended by Shri Satish Jha, CMD, ECL; Shri Chitranjan Kumar, Director (Technical/Operations), ECL; and Shri A. N. Nayak, Area General Manager, Rajmahal Area, along with other senior officials.
Key operational matters, project performance and field-level challenges were reviewed, with discussions focused on enhancing operational efficiency, productivity and sustained coal production, while according the highest priority to safety.
The meeting also deliberated on strengthening safe and sustainable mining practices, addressing operational challenges and implementing actionable measures for further improvement in mining operations and overall performance.
