Ranchi (Jharkhand), 26 December 2025: The Hon’ble Union Minister of Coal & Mines, Shri G. Kishan Reddy, called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Hemant Soren, and held detailed discussions on coal mining–related matters.
Key focus areas included the return of land where mining operations have been completed, along with other critical issues.The deliberations addressed the Jharia Master Plan, compensation for government land, land acquisition for coal mining, compensation and employment for raiyats (landowners), rehabilitation of displaced families, effective utilization of CSR funds, and challenges affecting coal project operations.

Veera Reddy, Shri Alok Singh, CMD CCL Shri N. K. Singh, CMD BCCL Shri Manoj Agrawal, Shri Shiv Raj Singh, OSD, CMPDIL, GM CCL Shri S. K. Jha, were present during the meeting.
