New Delhi, 02 December 2025: NTPC Limited, has been conferred the prestigious IGBC Green Champion Award in the “Organization Leading the Net Zero Building Movement in India” category at the CII–IGBC Green Building Congress 2025.
Shri Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay, Executive Director (SSEA) NTPC, received the award from Mr B Thiagarajan, Chairman of IGBC and Mr Jeff Oatman, Chairman, Asia Pacific Network, World GBC. This honour celebrates NTPC’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and transforming its nationwide facilities into green, net-zero benchmarks.
Last year alone, NTPC earned three key certifications: Net Zero Water for Ratnagiri township and Net Zero Energy for Kudgi township and NETRA office, with plans underway this year to add even more net-zero townships and offices to the list.
