New Delhi, 11 November 2025: The REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, A Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, successfully hosted a workshop today focusing on the Development of Transmission Projects in Bihar through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).
The event, held at the Auditorium, REC Limited World Headquarter in Gurugram, brought together key stakeholders from the Government of Bihar, Central Electricity Authority, public sector, and private transmission developer community.
The workshop was inaugurated with key addresses from senior officials Shri Ghanshyam Prasad, Hon’ble Chairperson, CEA India, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh (IAS), Hon’ble Secretary, Energy Bihar and TSC Bosh, Director (Projects), REC Limited. The workshop covered presentations on detailed overview of the TBCB process by, CEO, RECPDCL, and an outline of the future Bihar State Transmission Project Plan by Shri Rahul Kumar (IAS), MD, BSPTCL & NBPDCL.
The sessions highlighted the advantages and crucial role of the TBCB in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in developing state transmission projects with a strategic Focus on Private Investment, encouraging private sector participation in strengthening the Bihar State transmission network. The agenda also included an Open Discussion for Developers, providing a direct channel for the industry to offer their feedback.
