Kolkata, 03 September 2026: Shri Kanwalpreet (IRSS), Joint Secretary & Additional Chief Executive Officer, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, was cordially welcomed by Shri Manish Kumar, Member (Finance), Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), at DVC Towers, Kolkata.
During the visit, discussions were held in the presence of Shri Sadananda Mukherjee, Executive Director (Finance) and Shri Manoj Kumar Thakur, Executive Director (Contracts & Material Management). The deliberations focused on the new features and facilities proposed under GeM 2.0; the requirements and challenges faced by DVC in the bidding process on the GeM portal, and various other matters of importance aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes through GeM portal
