Kolkata, 18 December 2025: The Damodar Valley Corporation marked an important step towards strengthening healthcare and community infrastructure at Durgapur Thermal Power Station (DTPS) with the foundation stone laying of a new DVC Hospital Building, proposed on 17 acres of land, along with the foundation stone for revamping the south-side peripheral road along the water supply canal for the benefit of nearby villages.
The ceremony was performed by the Chairman, DVC, Shri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS, in the presence of senior officials. The hospital building will be constructed by NBCC, enhancing medical services in the region, while the road project reflects DVC’s continued commitment to community welfare and regional development.
The programme witnessed active participation from DVC officials, employees, and local residents, highlighting strong community connect.
