New Delhi, 08 December 2025: NTPC Mining Limited marked the 10th Coal Mining Day with enthusiasm and pride at the Sikri Site Office, Hazaribagh. Employees from Coal Mining Headquarters and various NTPC Coal Mining Projects including Pakri Barwadih, PB-NW, Chatti Bariatu, Kerandari and Badam joined together to commemorate the milestone.
The celebration commenced with a large-scale plantation drive aimed at reinforcing NTPC Mining Limited’s commitment to sustainable and responsible mining practices. The plantation activity was led by Shri Naveen Jain, RED (Mining) & CEO, NTPC Mining Limited, along with Smt. Punam Jain, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club. Senior officials from Coal Mining Headquarters and project teams also participated actively in the initiative.
Following the plantation activity, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, marking the occasion and strengthening the spirit of teamwork and unity. As a symbolic gesture of hope and progress, balloons were also released to celebrate a decade of operations and continued growth.
Adding a meaningful dimension to the event, students from nearby project-affected villages were invited and presented with study material kits, sports items, school dresses and school bag under NTPC Mining Limited’s commitment toward community development and education upliftment.
The event concluded with a message of gratitude and renewed resolve towards sustainable mining, operational excellence, and socio-economic development in the region.
