Ranchi, 16 July 2025: Shri P.M. Prasad, addressed the ‘Workshop on Challenges of FMC’ held at our subsidiary CMPDI in Ranchi, Jharkhand. In his keynote address, Shri Prasad emphasised that first mile connectivity (FMC) projects are the backbone of efficient coal transportation and the effort to complete the ongoing and upcoming FMC projects on time must be expedited.
He also stressed that FMC is the solution of under loading and overloading of and stressed the importance of collaborative stakeholder engagement to overcome implementation challenges. Our Director (Technical), Shri Achyut Ghatak, while addressing the session, presented the status of FMC and underscored its importance as an eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transportation.
Shri Ghatak provided insights into the process, construction and utilization of FMC projects. Shri Manoj Kumar, CMD, CMPDI; Shri J.P. Dwivedi, CMD, WCL, and Shri N.K. singh, CMD, CCL, also addressed the session.
