New Delhi, 12 December 2024: Shri Wangki Lowang, Hon’ble Minister (Env., Forests & Climate Change, Geology & Mining and DoTCL), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh visited NHPC’s 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project (Arunachal Pradesh). During the visit, Shri Puinnyo Apum, Hon’ble MLA, Dambuk, Shri P. Subramanyam (IFS), PCCF (HoFF), GoAP , Shri Samuel Changkija (IFS), CCF, Itanagar, Shri Soplan Manyu (IFS), CCF, Eastern Arunachal Circle, Shri Tasser Talar, Director (Geo. & Mining), GoAP, Shri Hibu Tana, DFO Dibang Forest Division, Shri Mito Rumi, DFO, Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Roing and Shri T Rime, DFO, Anini were also present.
The Hon’ble Minister visited the Dam site, HRT, Adit to DT, MAT -2 and CCVT areas and were briefed about the ongoing construction activities of the project. During the visit discussions were also held on environment, forests and land related issues of the project. The Hon’ble Minister expressed satisfaction on the progress of the project and urged all those present to feel proud to be associated with such a large project of National importance.
