Kolkata, 10 December 2024: Shri P M Prasad, Chairman Coal India at the 99th Foundation Day of IIT ISM Dhanbad, spoke about the future of the mining industry and stated that the sector is embracing digitalisation and focusing on safe, smart, and sustainable mining practices.
He emphasised that the collaborations and partnerships formed today will shape a brighter tomorrow, ensuring continued growth. He further added that a significant milestone in this journey is our association with the Mining Technology Innovation Hub (TEXMiN) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to establish the Innovation in Mining Centre for Excellence (IMiN-CoE). This centre will be a hub for ground breaking research and innovation, further strengthening our leadership in the mining industry.
