New Delhi, 10 December 2024: Ms. Esha Srivastava, Joint Secretary (IC), MoPNG, and Mr. Khaled Al-Deyain, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Kuwait, co-chaired the 7th Joint Working Group (JWG) on Hydrocarbons, sides reviewed bilateral cooperation across the entire value chain of oil & gas, petrochemicals, strategic reserves, and low-carbon solutions, including Green Hydrogen, Biofuels, and renewable energy.
Energy Cooperation &, long-standing top trading partners in the hydrocarbon sector, deliberated to elevate this traditional buyer-seller relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership through forming joint ventures in petrochemicals, exchanging advanced E&P technologies, and hosting regular B2B workshops to strengthen collaboration.
Both sides expressed interest in holding annual discussions on the sidelines of India’s flagship energy event, India Energy Week. Kuwait also conveyed its intent to explore membership in the Global Biofuels Alliance, a key initiative under India’s G20 presidency.
