New Delhi, 26 December 2025: The commissioning and testing activities of the 400 kV Gaya Line–1 were successfully completed at NTPC North Karanpura, with joint protocols signed and line charging carried out on 25 December 2025 at 13:23 hours.
The commissioning was conducted in the august presence of Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi, Head of Project, Shri R. K. Sinha, GM (O&M), Shri Ajay Kerhalkar, GM (Maintenance), along with all Heads of Departments and the EMD team.
With the successful charging of the Gaya Line–1, power evacuation capacity through Gaya Line–1 stood at 490 MW, while Chandwa Line–1 enabled power evacuation of 915 MW, significantly strengthening the transmission infrastructure and ensuring reliable power evacuation from the project. The successful completion of this critical milestone reflected effective coordination, technical expertise and commitment of the project team towards strengthening the power transmission network.
