New Delhi, 24 December 2025: NETRA was conferred with the National Project Excellence Award 2025 at the 33rd Global Symposium & 7th WPMF World Project Management Forum, held in New Delhi on 22nd December. The forum, themed “Mastering Change in an Unpredictable Environment”, was jointly organised by the Centre for Excellence in Project Management Pvt Ltd (CEPM) & International Institute of Project and Program Management (I2P2M).
NETRA received this recognition for its pioneering CO₂-to-Methanol project under the category ‘First of Its Kind’. The award acknowledges the successful development and implementation of a 10 TPD CO₂-to-Methanol plant at Vindhyachal, representing a significant technological breakthrough in the field of Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).
The innovative project converts captured carbon dioxide into value-added methanol, demonstrating a sustainable pathway for industrial decarbonisation. The initiative aligns with India’s Net-Zero commitments, reinforcing NTPC’s leadership in adopting advanced clean-energy technologies and circular carbon solutions.
The award was received on behalf of NETRA by Shri Sujay Karmakar, Chief General Manager (NETRA), along with other senior officials.
