New Delhi, 11 December 2025: NTPC Vindhyachal inaugurated “SAMVAAD SETU”, a specially designed intervention to further strengthen NTPC’s long-standing Mentoring System “ANKUR”. Launched in the Year 2000, ANKUR has been instrumental in guiding the new employees during their vital and formative years in the organization along with enabling the new entrants assimilate and adapt to the organization culture.
With NTPC’s expanding workforce and growing intake of young professionals, SAMVAAD SETU introduces a more structured, trackable and engagement-driven Mentoring journey. Designed by COE–HR and facilitated by SHRM India, the programme blends In-person Workshops, virtual sessions, fortnightly mentor–mentee connects, an e-mentoring platform, and periodic impact assessments.
RLI Vindhyachal hosted the inaugural ceremony which included the traditional Lamp Lighting followed by the NTPC Geet. Shri Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal) graced the occasion in the august presence of his senior management team including Shri AJ Rajkumar, GM (O&M); Shri M Suresh, GM (Maintenance & ADM); Shri SK Sinha, GM (Operation & FM); Dr BK Bharali, GM (Medical Services); Dr Debasmita Tripathy, AGM (RLI) ; Smt Mrinalini, AGM (HR). Shri Amit Kumar, DGM (HR- COE) and dignitaries from SHRM including Shri Bosco Dmello, (Subject Matter Expert) & Ms Mehak Gupta (Senior Consultant), mentors, mentees and the HR team were present on the occasion.
As one of the pilot locations for this structured Intervention, Vindhyachal has onboarded 30 mentors and mentees for this three-month journey.
Over the next four days till December 12, 2025 mentors and mentees will participate in focused sessions aimed at enhancing communication, trust, collaboration and value-based leadership — positioning NTPC at the forefront of building a culturally aligned and future-ready workforce.
