New Delhi, 28 November 2025: The Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the progress of the Jharia Rehabilitation & Development Authority (JRDA) and the Jharia Master Plan (JMP) at the Level-III Conference Hall, Koyla Bhawan, BCCL Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by Chairman, Coal India Ltd., Shri Sanoj Kumar Jha, CMD, BCCL, Shri Manoj Kumar Agrawal, Directors of BCCL, senior officials of the Ministry of Coal, along with DC, Dhanbad, Shri Aditya Ranjan and Shri Ritwik Srivastav, SP (City), Dhanbad. During the review, detailed discussions were held on the progress of housing allocations, rehabilitation infrastructure, public amenities, fire control measures and upcoming development interventions under the JMP.
Secretary Coal, emphasized the need for time-bound implementation, improved inter-departmental coordination and prioritization of citizen-centric facilities for families being rehabilitated from fire-affected areas.
He directed the concerned authorities to further strengthen monitoring mechanisms, resolve public grievances promptly and ensure that all rehabilitated families receive secure housing and essential services under the Jharia Master Plan.
