New Delhi, 19 October 2025: NHPC has successfully commissioned the full capacity of its 300 MW Solar Power Project at Karnisar, Bhatiyan, District Bikaner, Rajasthan. On this occasion, Shri Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, congratulated the entire NHPC team on this remarkable achievement.
He also urged all project teams to rededicate themselves to the timely execution of NHPC’s upcoming projects, enabling India to achieve its target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based capacity by 2030. Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC commended the relentless efforts of site officers and contractors’ staff, who worked with exceptional dedication despite the area’s challenging weather conditions.
This project stands as the largest among NHPC’s commissioned solar power projects, embodying the Make in India vision through the use of 100% domestically manufactured Solar PV Modules.
