New Delhi, 26 July 2025: A high-level delegation from Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) visited NVVN, Noida (UP) to discuss the ongoing cross-border power trade and explore future business collaborations. NVVN, being the nodal agency for power trade between India and Nepal, hosted the delegation comprising Shri Hitendra Dev Shakya, Managing Director (NEA), Shri Rajan Dhakal, Deputy Managing Director (NEA), Shri Kamal Acharya, Director (NEA) and others. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Renu Narang, CEO (NVVN).
The delegation was apprised about NVVN’s business verticals including Solar Roof Top and carbon credit management & trading. NEA expressed interest in increasing both import and export of power as well as exploring potential for additional revenue through carbon credits. Both teams charted out road map for increasing trade volume as well as enhancing procedural interface. Shri P K Jena, CGM and other officials were present during the discussion.
