New Delhi, 26 July 2025: BEL has signed a contract with MoD valued at Rs. 1,640 Cr (excluding taxes) for supply of Air Defence Fire Control Radars (Atulya) to Indian Army. These indigenous radars designed by DRDO & manufactured by BEL provide effective defence against air threats during day and night.
These radars with inbuilt ECM capabilities are used for surveillance, acquisition, tracking of air targets under all weather conditions and control of air defence guns for effective neutralisation.
The system is modular by design and is easy to deploy, operate and maintain.
