Nava Raipur, 17 July 2025: Heads of MTP Meet was held at NTPC Nava Raipur on July 15-16, 2025 wherein Heads of MTP from across the stations of NTPC attended.
Inaugurating the meet, Shri E Satya Phani Kumar (WR-II) emphasized the MTP department’s role in ensuring sustainable plant availability and timely overhauls. He called for improvements in equipment loading, inventory control, and realistic planning to avoid last-minute issues. He further emphasized on the need of OPI mapping and scores for quality & timely OH, condition monitoring, advance pattern recognition, preservation of spares at stores for reliable and safe operation of plants.
Connecting through virtual mode, Shri A K Manohar, RED (South) and ED (OS), underlined the significance of thorough review of overhaul scopes, continuous monitoring, and contingency planning to meet schedules and ensure safety. He stressed on the need to reduce forced outage by adopting quality & timely works in overhauls.
On this occasion, a booklet ‘Overhauling Snapshot FY 2024-25’ was released by RED (WR-II) both in digital & physical format.
The event was marked with discussion and presentation on maintenance perspectives by COS groups, Safety, ERP, CPG/PPG, inventory control etc. Delegates from different projects also given their presentation on critical issues related to PM cycles, Critical Spares, Maintenance Indices, quality overhauls and best practices.
