New Delhi, 25 June 2025: Shri E Satya Phani Kumar has taken over as RED (WR-II), NTPC Nava Raipur on June 23, 2025. Prior to this, Shri Phani Kumar was Executive Director, NTPC Vindhyachal, Madhya Pradesh.
An Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering (ETE) Engineer from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Shri Phani Kumar has joined NTPC in 1989 as an Executive Trainee. To his credit, he did his MBA in Human Resources Management from IGNOU. Shri Phani Kumar has rich and varied experience in the areas of C&I Maintenance, Operation, and Operation & Maintenance.
He held several important positions in a career spanning around 36 years and worked at Ramagundam, Lara and Vindhyachal. In his illustrious career, Shri Phani Kumar also headed NTPC Vindhyachal, the largest thermal power plant in India with Capacity of 4760 MW.
