New Delhi, 23 September 2024: REC Limited stand steadfast in commitment to support the Divyangjan, in partnership with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), and the process a camp was held by REC’s CSR wing, where 410 aids and assistive devices were distributed to 200 beneficiaries from the economically weaker section in Kanpur (Dehat), on September 17, 2024.
The event was inaugurated by our Chief Guest Smt. Pratibha Shukla, Minister for Women Welfare and Child Nutrition, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, in presence of Dr. Durgesh Nandini, Independent Director of REC, Smt. Taruna Gupta, Executive Director of REC and officials from REC & ALIMCO.
These assistive devices are vital in helping the Divyangjan achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Over the last 10 years, approximately 20,000 beneficiaries across various parts of the country have received such support, with a total disbursement of ₹23 crores.
