Talaipalli Coal Mining Project Distributed 1,700 School Bags to Children from 20 Schools

New Delhi, 08 August 2024: Talaipalli Coal Mining Project has made a notable contribution to local education by distributing 1,700 school bags to students from 20 schools. The initiative is part of NTPC’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at supporting the educational needs in mining-affected regions.

The distribution began at Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Hindi Medium School in Raikera village, where 300 bags were handed out to enthusiastic students in the presence of Shri Ajay Singh Yadav, Head of Project, TLCMP. During the event, Shri Ajay Singh Yadav, Head of Project, TLCMP, also encouraged students to work diligently on their studies and to engage actively in extracurricular activities. Following the event in Raikera, the distribution continued to other local schools, including the Primary School in Chhotiguda village, showcasing NTPC’s dedication to enhancing the educational environment for affected communities. The generous contribution is set to benefit numerous students, providing them with essential school supplies and fostering a positive impact on their education.

Senior officials of TLCMP and faculty of schools were present during the distribution of bags. This initiative reflects NTPC’s ongoing commitment to supporting education in local communities and ensuring that children in these areas have the necessary tools for their studies.
