Rishikesh, 06 August 2024: The 444 MW under-construction Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) has achieved a significant milestone. The EOT crane (150/50T) in the Power House was successfully commissioned and tested at full load capacity. This achievement marks a crucial step towards the erection of Electro-Mechanical Equipment in the Power House.
Shri R K Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited stated that VPHEP is being executed in the most challenging Himalayan geological terrain and he expressed happiness on satisfactory achievement of this significant milestone. Shri Vishnoi said the successful commissioning of the EOT crane brings us one step closer to the timely completion of the VPHEP Project, which is crucial for meeting our Energy Goals and Supporting Regional Development.
Shri Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), THDC India Limited warmly congratulated the entire Team VPHEP and all associated stakeholders of the Projects for their unwavering efforts and dedication. He highlighted that this achievement underscores the collective commitment and hard work of all involved. He added that the successful commissioning of the EOT crane signifies substantial progress in the VPHEP Project, reflecting THDCIL’s unwavering dedication to advancing India’s Renewable Energy infrastructure.
