Kolkata, 24 September 2026: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) signed MoUs with CIPET Bhubaneswar and the Kandhamal District Administration to strengthen skill development and livelihood support under its CSR initiatives. The partnership with CIPET will provide industry-oriented skill training to 520 candidates in Machine Operator – Plastics Processing and Machine Operator – Injection Moulding, with 30% beneficiaries preferably comprising women candidates and a focus on employment outcomes.
In Kandhamal, MCL will support improved turmeric cultivation by providing farmers with Salem variety turmeric rhizomes, training and technical guidance to enhance productivity and farm income. Together, these initiatives reflect MCL’s commitment to empowering youth and farmers while promoting inclusive socio-economic development across Odisha.
