New Delhi, 17 August 2022: The Financial Services Institution Bureau, A body under Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India has recommended the name of Mrs. Girija Kapur for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, The New India Assurance Company Ltd. (NIACL) as the post is remain vacant after Shri Atul Sahai retired in Feb 2022. Presently Mrs. Madhulika Bhaskar has been given addl. charge as CMD NIACL and her tenure has been further extended for three months with effect from 12 July 2022 or till a regular appointee take over.
Appointment Committee of Cabinet is working on the process of approval of Mrs. Girija Kapur as recommended by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau and her appointment order may be released soon.
