New Delhi, 14 October 2025: Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD chaired the 77th Management Committee Meeting (MCM) of NTPC on 11th-12th October 2025 which was attended by Functional Directors, REDs, EDs, CEOs, BUHs from Coal Stations, and Functional Heads from Corporate Centre. CMD virtually inaugurated the Regional Learning Institute (RLI) for Coal Mining at Pakri Barwadih which will be instrumental in capability enhancement of mining workforce.
During MCM, elaborate discussions were held on the performance and critical issues of coal stations through an interactive HOP dashboard. Speaking on the occasion, CMD emphasized on efficiency improvement in the various processes and reiterated the importance of safety, reliability and availability in operation of power plants. He urged that senior executives have to lead by example and set a strong culture of ownership down the line.
Presentations were also made on safety performance, inventory management, financial performance, and opportunities for BESS in thermal power stations.
