THDC Ltd. Sign MoU with Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for Consultancy Services

Rishikesh, 07 August 2026: THDC India Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Shimla, for providing consultancy services for a period of three years. The MoU was signed on August 6, 2026, at the Regional Office of MoRTH, Shimla.

Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Managing Director, stated that THDCIL has established itself as a trusted consultancy partner for MoRTH, NHAI, NHIDCL and other agencies for slope protection and rockfall mitigation works across the country. Sh. Garg added that the association with MoRTH Shimla would further strengthen THDCIL’s contribution towards developing safer and more resilient National Highway infrastructure in the Himalayan region.

Under the signed MoU, THDCIL will serve as the consultant to study landslide susceptibility areas and suggest mitigation measures for chronic locations along various National Highways in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The consultancy assignment includes preparation of suitable designs and drawings, reports, and technical monitoring of the stabilization measures during execution.

As part of the consultancy assignment, THDCIL will adopt the latest technology and methodology, incorporating flexible treatment measures alongside conventional methods to effectively address site-specific challenges along the affected routes. This initiative by THDCIL and MoRTH Shimla will facilitate safer movement of vehicles plying in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Niraj Kumar Agrawal, General Manager (Design–Outward Consultancy), on behalf of THDCIL, and Shri Vishnu Murti, Chief Engineer-cum-Regional Officer, MoRTH Shimla.

THDCIL is also providing similar consultancy services to MoRTH Dehradun, MoRTH Arunachal Pradesh, MoRTH Maharashtra, MoRTH Mizoram, NHAI J&K, NHAI Shillong, Uttarakhand State PWD and NHIDCL for slope protection works, prevention of shooting stones, and implementation of rockfall protection measures for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board.
