Lucknow, 02 August 2026: NTPC Unchahar has launched a new skill development programme for 60 unemployed youth under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Lucknow. The programme aims to equip local youth with industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Diwakar Kaushik, Regional Executive Director (North) & CEO (NSPCL), in the presence of Shri S. N. Panigrahi, Executive Director (HR) North & South Region, Shri Biswa Mohan Singh, Executive Director , NTPC Unchahar, and Shri Vivek Kumar, Joint Director & Head, CIPET, Lucknow.
Under the MoA between NTPC Unchahar and CIPET, 60 youth from 15 nearby Gram Panchayats, including 22 women trainees, will receive training in Machine Operator–Injection Moulding and Machine Operator–Plastic Processing.
Under its CSR initiatives, NTPC Unchahar has already facilitated employment for 187 local youth through various skill development programmes, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable socio-economic development of the region.
