Rishikesh, 15 April 2026: Shri Sipan Kumar Garg, Chairman & Managing Director, THDC India Limited congratulated Team THDCIL on the significant achievement of declaring COD of the 4th unit of the 4×250 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant.
Shri S K Garg termed it a landmark milestone for both THDCIL and the nation, highlighting that with all four units (4×250 MW) now operational, the Tehri PSP will significantly enhance grid reliability, support peak demand management, and enable large-scale integration of renewable energy.
This accomplishment reinforces THDCIL’s leadership in hydropower and pumped storage development, and reaffirmed the organization’s strong commitment to advancing India’s energy transition and sustainable development goals.
