Lucknow, 09 April 2026: In a significant step towards bolstering India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities, 75-hectare land has been acquired by BEL in the Defence node of UPEIDA at Chitrakoot. The land allotment letter was formally handed over by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, to Shri Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL.
With an investment of more than Rs 600 Cr, this upcoming facility will cater to futuristic Defence programmes like QRSAM, Kusha Air Defence System and Next Gen radar systems along with MRO facility.
