New Delhi, 02 April 2026: NEEPCO Corporate Office proudly celebrated its 51st Foundation Day on April 2, 2026, marking over five decades of dedicated service to the nation’s energy sector. The programme began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour and the hoisting of the NEEPCO flag, symbolizing the organization’s enduring commitment to excellence.
Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, presented the Project Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements. In his keynote address, the CMD lauded NEEPCO’s remarkable journey and its significant contributions to the power sector, particularly in the North Eastern Region.
He praised the organization’s consistent efforts, notable achievements, and the dedication of its workforce in delivering excellence across projects and operations. Describing NEEPCO as the hydro arm of NTPC, he emphasized its strategic importance in strengthening the nation’s renewable energy portfolio.
Shri B. Maharana, Director (Finance), delivered the welcome address, highlighting NEEPCO’s journey, achievements, and future vision. He expressed immense pride in NEEPCO’s journey of over five decades, highlighting the organization’s transformation into a key pillar of India’s energy landscape and acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the workforce in overcoming challenges and driving growth.
A documentary showcasing NEEPCO’s journey—from its inception to its current achievements—was screened, offering a glimpse into its evolution and milestones.
The programme also included the inauguration of the Vigilance Bulletin and concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).
The celebration continued with the rendition of the NEEPCO song and an in-house cultural programme, reflecting the rich cultural diversity of the region. Employees enthusiastically participated, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
