New Delhi, 28 March 2026: Shri Sanjay Swarup, CMD CONCOR, along with Directors and other senior officers, have welcomed Shri Hari Shankar Verma, Member (Operations & Business Development), Railway Board. He was accompanied by senior officials, including Additional Members and other officers from the Railway Board.
Shri Verma, MoBD, highlighted the strong potential of containerised logistics in driving India’s GDP, emphasising the need to improve overall supply chain efficiency. He also underlined the importance of increasing containerisation in the country and preparing a robust database for undertaking proper analysis and decision-making.
Further, MoBD focused on diversification in the shipping sector and taking all steps in order to promote indigenous manufacturing of containers in India. On this occasion, CONCOR apprised MoBD of various customer-centric initiatives taken by CONCOR, such as loading of bulk cement in tank containers, Assured Container Train Service, foray into the shipping sector, and adopting environment-friendly logistics solutions.
