New Delhi, 20 March 2026: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff and the Space Applications Centre, ISRO for maintenance of existing satellite-based telecommunication nodes and provisioning of additional nodes for the Armed Forces.
The MoU was signed by Air Marshal Shankar Subramanian, DCIDS (Med), on behalf of HQ IDS India, and Shri Nilesh M Desai, Director SAC, ISRO. Both sides reviewed the current telemedicine infrastructure and deliberated on the roadmap for next-generation telemedicine nodes.
