Shimla, 10 March 2026: Shri Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited, accompanied by Director (Personnel) Shri Ajay Kumar Sharma visited Rampur Hydro Power Station. Head of Project (HoP), Rampur HPS, Shri Vikas Marwah, welcomed the dignitaries at the Power House.
The dignitaries visited the Power House Control Room, where the HoP briefed them about the functioning of the Power House and apprised them of the ongoing operation, maintenance and other key activities of the project.
On this occasion, CMD, SJVN, Shri Bhupender Gupta dedicated a 30 kWp PV-based Solar Rooftop Plant installed at the Project Hospital, Rampur HPS, Bayal, under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna to the nation. This initiative will further strengthen SJVN’s commitment towards promoting renewable and green energy. This solar installation is in addition to the 172 kWp Solar Rooftop PV Plant already installed at Rampur HPS Colony and the 60 kWp Solar Plant at the Valve House, thereby significantly enhancing the green energy footprint of Rampur HPS.
In his address, Sh. Bhupender Gupta said that it is a matter of great pride to witness the remarkable progress and success of the project. He encouraged all employees to continue their dedicated efforts so that Rampur HPS sets new benchmarks in the future and brings further pride to SJVN.
During the visit, the Chairman & Managing Director and Director (Personnel) also planted saplings at the project site as a symbolic gesture towards promoting environmental conservation and sustainability.
Dy. CVO, Sh. Manmeet Gupta and other senior officials of SJVN were also present on this occasion.
