Kolkata, 27 October 2025: Shri P M Prasad, Chairman Coal India, visited the Raigarh Area of the subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) and chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of key projects. During the meeting, Shri Prasad emphasized the need for the early commencement of major projects—Pelma OCP, Porda Chimtapani OCP, and Durgapur OCP—considering their critical role in enhancing SECL’s production.
He also visited the Baroud Opencast Mine to review ongoing operations and inspected the Baroud Silo to take stock of the coal handling and dispatch infrastructure. As part of the visit, Shri Prasad planted saplings at the KLP Camp Viewpoint and felicitated outstanding employees for their contributions.
Shri Harish Duhan, CMD, SECL, along with senior executives from SECL and Coal India, were present on the occasion.
