New Delhi, 17 September 2025: The first ET Nuclear Training Batch commenced on 15th September at PMI, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards strengthening nuclear energy capabilities. A total of 28 ETs, including 15 from Mechanical and 13 from Civil, have been selected for this specialised programme.
Shri K S Sundaram, Director (Projects) graced the programme in the presence of Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, ED (Strategic HR & Talent Management) and Head, PMI and other senior officials.
PMI has been actively developing capacity in nuclear energy through collaborations with eminent institutions such as BARC, IIT Bombay and IIT Jammu. This course, jointly designed by PMI and the Nuclear Group in consultation with BARC, offers in-depth exposure to nuclear project development, safety protocols, regulatory frameworks and global best practices. Led by domain experts from BARC and NPCIL, this course aims to equip ETs to take on critical roles in upcoming nuclear ventures.
