Ranchi, 27 August 2025: As part of the Coal India Golden Jubilee Lecture Series, a session on the theme “Vande Bharat: Leadership and Innovation” was organised at our subsidiary Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) Headquarters in Ranchi, with Shri Sudhanshu Mani, retired IRSME officer and the visionary behind the Vande Bharat Express.
In his inspiring address, Shri Mani shared his experiences of leading India’s first world-class semi-high-speed train project and the leadership lessons he gained during this journey. He also mentioned that true innovation stems from teamwork and perseverance—values that strongly align with Coal India’s commitment to growth and Nation-building.
Shri Manoj Kumar, CMD, CMPDI, along with senior management and employees of CMPDI, attended the session. Delegates from all our subsidiaries also joined the session virtually.
