Patna, 21 May 2025: Dr. Hari Om Sharan, Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Patna Circle visited NTPC Kahalgaon and met Shri Sandeep Naik, Executive Director, NTPC Kahalgaon, to discuss the conservation and development of the Vikramshila Mahavihara, a centrally protected monument under ASI, Patna Circle with a focus on promoting tourism in the region. The discussions emphasized collaborative efforts between ASI and NTPC CSR to preserve the historical significance of Vikramshila and improve visitor infrastructure and amenities.
The meeting was also attended by Shri Saurabh Sharma, HOD(HR), Shri Bhaskar Gupta, AGM (HR), and other officials from the Archaeological Survey of India. NTPC expressed their commitment to working together for the sustained preservation and promotion of this important heritage site.
