New Delhi, 06 May 2025: NTPC Talaipalli Coal Mining Project (TLCMP) welcomes Shri Akhilesh Singh as the new Head of Project effective 03.05.2025. Shri Singh brings with him over 30 years of extensive experience in NTPC, having joined the organization in 1993. Prior to this assignment, he was posted as CGM (OS – Director Operations Sectt) CC-OS, Raipur. Shri Singh took over from Shri Ajay Singh Yadav.
An Electrical Engineering graduate from Bhagalpur University, Bihar, Shri Akhilesh Singh has served at several key NTPC locations including Rihand, Vindhyachal, Lara, Bongaigaon and WR-II Raipur. He has previously held the position of Head of Project at both NTPC Lara and NTPC Bongaigaon. His core areas of expertise include electrical maintenance, fuel management, and operations and maintenance.
In his new role at NTPC Talaipalli, Shri Singh will oversee all activities at the project, which has a peak capacity of 25 million metric tonnes per annum. Under his leadership, NTPC Talaipalli is poised to further enhance its production capabilities and uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency and sustainability, while continuing to serve the needs of local communities.
